New Orleans Saints defense is key to the winning effort in Nashville TN

Drew Brees & New Orleans Saints high-power offense struggle & don't put game away in 4th Quarter

December 11, 2011 - NASHVILLE, Tennessee. Chris Ivory was activated in place of New Orleans Saints rookie running back Mark Ingram, who was out with a turf toe injury. Due to the outstanding play of the New Orleans Saints interior offensive lineman, the New Orleans Saints running game has been outstanding in their four game winning streak. Center Brian de la Puenta and offensive guards Carl Nicks and Jahari Evans have dominated the opponent's defensive linemen.

Drew Brees & the New Orleans Saints high-power offense struggle & was sluggish all day long, only scoring 3 points in each of the first 3 quarters of play against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, Tennessee. The New Orleans Saints offense had a couple of chances late in the 4th quarter to put the game away, i.e. put the game out of reach of the Tennessee Titans, but failed on each series.

The New Orleans Saints defense was key to the winning effort, holding the Tennessee Titans to only 17 points for the game & having a terrific goal-line stand on the final two plays of the game. In fact, on the last play of the game, Rookie Quarterback Jake Locker (University of Washington Huskies) was sacked at the New Orleans Saints 8 yard line for a 3 yard loss by Saints Outside Linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar.

In the end, New Orleans Saints squeak-by Tennessee Titans 22-17.

New Orleans Saints lose to Tennessee Titans 14 - 31

September 24, 2007 - NASHVILLE, Tennessee. WOW!!! ... that's WOW in a BAD way ... the New Orleans Saints are 0 - 3 ... losing to the Colts 10 - 41 and the Buccaneers 14 - 31 and the Titans 14 - 31 ... hmmm ... maybe we were premature in our predictions of a New Orleans Saints SuperBowl ... I believe I must re-evaluate; I want a recount; I renege; I need to re-staff; whatcha think? ... this season sucks! Bobby Hebert - you are safe for another year ... you're straight. The only thing that sucks more than the News Orleans Saints is Rex Grossman and the Chicago Bears!

Deuce McAllister blew out his other knee in the New Orleans Saint's loss to the Titans 14 - 31. I don't think Deuce will play much more for the New Orleans Saints again.

Sean Payton: your success is dependent on two words: Pierre Thomas. The New Orleans Saint's success lies in the hands of running-back Pierre Thomas. With veteran running-back Deuce McAllister out-for-the-season with a blown-out knee, my eyes are on Pierre Thomas.

Saints defensive end Charles Grant says things will get better. He is predicting the defense will step it up. Charles Grant said, "I promise you both ends will finish with double-digit sacks." According to the NFL statistics, the Saints don't have any sacks yet this season through three games. Hey, Charles, remember what you said on June 1st (below), "The Saint's defense is going to be better than the Dome Patrol!" ... hmmm ... very interesting.

Reggie Bush - think about running North-South instead of East-West. The is no rushing title for 50 yard runs from sideline-to-sideline for a net gain (loss) of minus 2 yards. Think about it - REGGIE!!!
