December 4, 2011 - NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana. The New Orleans Saints in the dome for Sunday Night Football! Tonight, the New Orleans Saints had a great opportunity to improve their record as the Atlanta Falcons (7-5) lost today to the Houston Texans 17-10. LB Jonathan Vilma was active for the game and the New Orleans Saints take charge of the NFC South Division.

The New Orleans Saints look good throughout the first half against the Detroit Lions. The New Orleans Saints defense & special teams play well. The New Orleans Saints 12th man is alive and well as Who Dat fans fortify the Superdome & make some NOISE!

In the second half, the New Orleans Saints maintained composure and won their fourth straight game in a row, defeating the Detroit Lions 31-17. The New Orleans Saints are 9-3 on the season and 6-0 at home.

New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees makes NFL passing history

In the winning effort, QB Drew Brees passed for 342 yards and three touchdowns: 67 yards to WR Robert Meachem, 20 yards to WR Lance Moore and 6 yards to RB Darren Sproles. Drew Brees also completed eight passes to TE Jimmy Graham for 89 yards. Drew Brees' outstanding performance gave him 4,031 yards on the season, making Drew the first quarterback in NFL history to get 4,000-yards passing in the first 12 games of a season.
