New Orleans Saints lose to Denver Broncos 32 - 34
Sep 21, 2008 - Denver, Colorado - Is there an echo in here? This write-up is basicly a cut and paste from last week!!! The New Orleans Saints must figure out how to get a first down in third-and-one situations.
The New Orleans Saints lose to the Denver Broncos by a score of 32 - 34. The New Orleans Saint's loss is directly attributed to their inability to make first downs on third-and-one yard plays. Head Coach Sean Payton needs give the football to veteran running-back Deuce McAllister or figure out another way to successfully get a first down on third-and-one situations. This year, on crucial third-and-one yard downs, the New Orleans Saints have been unable to run the football for a first down, so why run it on third-and-one? Any third-down play must be a passing play from Drew Brees to one of the New Orlean's Saints trustworthy receiving corps.
The turn-over rule is was wrong this week because of Head Coach Sean Payton's stupidity. The rule is: if the New Orleans Saints can break even in the turn over battle, they will win the game. The New Orleans Saints win-ability is directly proportional to the New Orleans Saints turn-over ratio. The bottom line is: if the New Orleans Saints win the take-away / give-away battle, then the Saints win the game. In today's game, the New Orleans Saints won the turn-over battle with a ratio of 2:1 but the New Orleans Saints loss the game 32 - 34 because Sean Payton is a moron and couldn't get his team to get a first down on third-and-one yard plays.
