New Orleans Saints win game 45 - 17 vs Carolina Panthers

New Orleans Saints Offense is running on all cylinders as offensive NFL records fall

January 1, 2012 - NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana. As you know, in the NFL, defense wins championships. The New Orleans Saints win the turn-over battle with a 2-to-1 ratio. The New Orleans Saints defense played championship style football in the win against the Carolina Panthers. The New Orleans Saints win the football game by a score of 45 - 17.

During the 45-17 blowout of the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees passed for 389 yards and five (5) touchdowns as the New orleans Saints broke a bunch of NFL and New Orleans Saints club records. Drew Brees said: "Every facet of our offense is clicking right now, but yet you're constantly finding ways to advance it. We've raised the bar for ourselves. We have a high level of expectations, and we're just trying to meet that level."

The NFL single-season records set by the 13-3 New Orleans Saints included total offensive with 7,474 yards, team passing with 5,347 yards, and first downs with 416.

New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees finished the season with a record 468 completions, breaking Peyton Manning's 2010 mark of 450. New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees also finished the season completing 71.6 percent of his passes, breaking his own 2009 NFL record 70.6 completion percentage. QB Drew Brees had five (5) touchdown passes: two (2) to WR Marques Colston for 15 yard TD & 42 yards TD, TE Jimmy Graham for 19 yard TD, RB Darren Sproles for 9 yard TD, and FB Jed Collins for 1 yard TD.

New Orleans Saints Tight-End Jimmy Graham had 97 yards receiving to finish the season with 1,310 yards, exceeding Kellen Winslow's 1980 tight end record of 1,290 yards; however, New England Tight-End Rob Gronkowski finished the season with 1,327 yards, and now holds the NFL record. TE Jimmy Graham's TD catch was his 11th of the season, matching the New Orleans Saints club record also attained by WR Joe Horn in 2004 and WR Marques Colston in 2007.

New Orleans Saints Wide-Receiver Marques Colston had seven catches for 145 yards and 2 TDs.

New Orleans Saints Running-Back Darren Sproles rushed for 40 yards, received for 29 yards, and had 99 yards on kickoff and punt returns to end the season with an NFL record 2,969 combined yards, breaking Derrick Mason (Tennessee Titans) 2000 record 2,690 yards.

New Orleans Saints squeak-by Tennessee Titans 22-17

New Orleans Saints defense is key to the winning effort in Nashville TN

Drew Brees & New Orleans Saints high-power offense struggle & don't put game away in 4th Quarter

December 11, 2011 - NASHVILLE, Tennessee. Chris Ivory was activated in place of New Orleans Saints rookie running back Mark Ingram, who was out with a turf toe injury. Due to the outstanding play of the New Orleans Saints interior offensive lineman, the New Orleans Saints running game has been outstanding in their four game winning streak. Center Brian de la Puenta and offensive guards Carl Nicks and Jahari Evans have dominated the opponent's defensive linemen.

Drew Brees & the New Orleans Saints high-power offense struggle & was sluggish all day long, only scoring 3 points in each of the first 3 quarters of play against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, Tennessee. The New Orleans Saints offense had a couple of chances late in the 4th quarter to put the game away, i.e. put the game out of reach of the Tennessee Titans, but failed on each series.

The New Orleans Saints defense was key to the winning effort, holding the Tennessee Titans to only 17 points for the game & having a terrific goal-line stand on the final two plays of the game. In fact, on the last play of the game, Rookie Quarterback Jake Locker (University of Washington Huskies) was sacked at the New Orleans Saints 8 yard line for a 3 yard loss by Saints Outside Linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar.

In the end, New Orleans Saints squeak-by Tennessee Titans 22-17.

Rams? Really? Who-Dat? Who Sucks? Saints play down to opponent again & lose

Saints have 2nd worse loss in Sean Payton era. 1st worse: 2010 playoff loss to Seattle Seahawks.

October 30, 2011 - ST LOUIS, Missouri. On any given Sunday the Saints can win or lose against anyone, probably even lose to Tulane or Vanderbilt University. As the football game starts, the New Orleans Saints offense was flat. With RB Mark Ingram not playing due to heel injury, RB Chris Ivory is unable to spark the New Orleans Saints running game, rushing 6 attempts for 18 yards. Drew Brees doesn't play well, throws 2 interceptions, and the New Orleans Saints defense sputters, as the Saints lose in St Louis.

New Orleans Saints win 62 - 7 vs Indianapolis Colts

New Orleans Saints offense looks strong against Indianapolis Colts

October 23, 2011 - NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana. New Orleans Saints get off to a great start against the Indianapolis Colts. Drew Brees throws touchdowns to every one in the Mercedes Benz Superdome. I still don't understand how Philip Rivers was chosen over Drew Brees to be the future of the San Diego Chargers back in 2006? But thanks anyway, silly San Diego.

RB Darren Sproles had a great night with a touchdown catch from Drew Brees followed by a rushing touchdown. The San Diego Chargers are probably missing Darren Sproles about now also. Darren Sproles played his first 6 seasons with the San Diego Chargers, and signed with the New Orleans Saints during the off season (Jul 29, 2011).

New Orleans Saints lead at the half by a score of 34 - 7. The Indianapolis Colts look pitiful. New Orleans Saints offense looks strong, New Orleans Saints defense looks strong, and New Orleans Saints special teams look strong.

New Orleans Saints Center Olin Kreutz Quits Team

Center Olin Kreutz's Agent says "he has lost his passion for the game of football"

There's more here than being disclosed here: New Orleans Saints Center Olin Kreutz is a quitter

October 30, 2011 - NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana. New Orleans Saints center Olin Kreutz has left the team because "he has lost his passion for the game of football." Center Olin Kreutz's agent, Mark Bartelstein said: "He loves the games. He has to love the game. He just hasn't been feeling it."

We say that's a crock of $#|+. There's more here than being disclosed. New Orleans Saints Center Olin Kreutz is a quitter probably because of something derogatory. Steroids? Drugs? Demoted to 2nd string? I don't know, but something doesn't smell right.

This has been a tumultuous year for the 34-year-old center Olin Kreutz, who played with the Chicago Bears for the first 13 seasons of his career. This off-season, Olin Kreutz could not come to terms on a contract with the Chicago Bears. A six-time Pro Bowl center, Olin Kreutz, said he was willing to take a pay cut to stay with the Chicago Bears, but negotiations became public and very messy. Olin Kreutz eventually signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints. Furthermore, this season Center Olin Kreutz has been battling a sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. Bartelstein said Olin Kreutz "Went in and talked to Coach Sean Payton and General Manager Mickey Loomis to express it to them. They tried to talk him out of it, as they wanted him to stay. However, Olin Kreutz called yesterday and said, 'I just know, it's not in my heart. I'm not going to keep collecting a check if I know deep inside me I can't bring what I need to bring to play every week.' "

So there is definitely something not right in Gotham City. Something's not being disclosed here. New Orleans Saints Center Olin Kreutz is a quitter. It's something derogatory. Don't know what it is, but something doesn't smell right. New Orleans Saint's back-up Center De la Puente is a better center than Kreutz is at this stage in his career. Olin Kruetz is washed up, dried out and even he knows it!
