New Orleans Saints 2010 Season

Sea-chickens? Really? Who-Dat? Who Sucked? Saints lose 41 - 36

New Orleans Saints play down to opponent again, lose vs Seattle Seahawks 41 - 36

On any given Sunday the Saints can win or lose against anyone, probably even to Vanderbilt University

January 8, 2011 - Seattle, Washington. New Orleans Saints got off to a great start against the Seattle Seahawks; twice in the first half, the New Orleans Saints led by 10 points. But once again, the New Orleans Saints stalled and played down to their opponent. Same thing happened this season when the New Orleans Saints lost to the Arizona Cardinals & the Cleveland Browns. Even Vanderbilt University or The Citadel may have had a good shot to beat the Saints today.

The New Orleans Saints defense was flat and didn't play with any intensity. The offense, without Chris Ivory & Pierre Thomas before the game, and losing Reggie Bush & Julius Jones during the game, wasn't able to put together a world championship performance. Heath Evans & DeShawn Wynn ended up with way too much playing time to warrant a winning performance. Jonathan Stinchcomb also had a poor performance with numerous holding penalties. Who-Dat? Who Sucked? Saints lose 41 - 36. The World Championship New Orleans Saints ... suck

New Orleans Saints win 30 - 27 vs Dallas Cowboys

New Orleans Saints barely pulled their chestnuts out of the fire in Dallas

November 25, 2010 - Dallas, Texas. Thanksgiving Day in Dallas. The New Orleans Saints just barely pulled their chestnuts out of the fire. The New Orleans Saints get off to a great start against the Dallas Cowboys. Chris Ivory gets two rushing touchdowns and Garrett Hartley kicks two field-goals in first half.

Reggie Bush would have been the goat had the New Orleans Saints lost. This was Reggie Bush's first game back after missing eight games with a broken leg. The first pass thrown to Reggie Bush bounced off his shoulder pads and helmet. Later, Reggie Bush dropped a likely touchdown pass when the New Orleans Saints were winning 20 - 13. Sometime later, Reggie Bush fumbled a punt return to give the Cowboys' touchdown that brought them within 3 points, 23 - 20. The New Orleans Saints fans had been screaming "Reg-gie! Reg-gie! Reg-gie!" before the punt. After the fumble and again after the ensuing touchdown, the Dallas Cowboys fans tauntingly cheered the same thing, "Reg-gie! Reg-gie! Reg-gie!".

However, the New Orleans Saints prevailed, win the turn-over battle with a 3-to-2 ratio, and winning the game 30 - 27. Who Dat!

September 20, 2010 - San Francisco, California. The New Orleans Saints go the Candlestick Park and beat the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 25 - 22. The New Orleans Saint Garrett Hartley went three for three in field-goals, kicking the winning field-goal from 37 yards.

The New Orleans Saints played their brand of football, winning the turn-over with a 4-to-0 ratio. As you know, in the NFL if you win the turn-over battle, then you win the game. And the Saints have been doing a lot of both. Turn-over ratio of the Saints last 5 games:

4:0 this week (49ers)
1:0 last week (Vikings)
1:0 Superbowl (Colts)
5:1 NFC Championship (Vikings)
2:0 Play-offs (Cardinals)

The Saints turn-over ratio in the last 21 games is 51:30. Drew Brees and the Saints offense do an excellent job protecting the football. The Saint Defense is a bunch of thieves!
