September 3, 2007 - The New Orleans Saints re-signed tight end Ronnie Ghent. To make room on the roster, the Saints waived first-year defensive tackle McKinley Boykin, 6-1, 289-pounds, a first-year player from Ole Miss who signed with the New Orleans Saints as a rookie free agent on May 12, 2006. Ronnie Ghent ,former University of Louisville tight end, was waived by the Saints on Friday, August 31. Ronnie Ghent, 6-2, 253-pounds, is a native of Lakeland, Florida. The New Orleans Saints signed DT Brandon Villareal to the practice squad, using the last of their eight allocated practice squad spots.
