New Orleans Saints Quarterback, Drew Brees said, "I think just about every player on our team had their high school jersey retired and a street named after them in their hometowns (during off-season) ... But certainly there comes a time when you have to get back to work and you have to start thinking about how you can go out and ... accomplish ... that level of success that we experienced last year."

Drew Brees Shares Pre-Game Chant with Who Dat Nation

February 9, 2010 - New Orleans, Louisiana. Drew Brees' secret pre-game chant, used to fire up the team during the 2009 Super Bowl season, has been released to the public. Drew Brees refused to share the chant with reporters, saying it was just for the Saints team. After last night's Saints Celebration parade, Drew Brees stopped by Lucy's bar in the Warehouse District and shared the chant with the fans. Drew Brees' suprise visit made Lucy's bar go crazy, as Drew hung-out with the Who Dat Nation. Drew Brees got on the microphone and did his pre-game chant with the crowd of fans. Quarterback Drew Brees doesn't break Dan Marino’s passing record

Dec 29, 2008 - New Orleans, LA - New Orleans Saints Quarterback, Drew Brees, didn't break Dan Marino’s all-time single-season record for passing yards set in 1984. In order to break Dan Marino's record, Drew Brees needed 402 passing yards in the last game of the season against the Carolina Panthers on Dec 28, 2008. Drew Brees came up 15 yards short of beating Dan Marino’s record. Dan Marino’s average passing yardage per game was 317 yards in 1984. Quarterback Drew Brees looks to future with New Orleans

May 10, 2007 - New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees says that his football off-season is right on schedule. He has almost fully recovered from his Pro Bowl right elbow dislocation in February. Drew Brees said: "My elbow feels great. My body feels great. I am not limited in any way right now."

He is excited about the Saints 2007 draft of offensive players:

Robert Meachem (WR, 6-3, 211, Tennessee) drafted in 1st round
Andy Alleman (G, 6-4, 302, Akron) drafted in 3rd round
Jermon Bushrod (OT, 6-4, 315, Towson) drafted in 4th round

He is looking forward to competing against the Saints 2007 draft of cornerbacks:

Usama Young (CB, 5-11, 186, Kent State) drafted in 3rd round
David Jones (CB, 6-0, 196, Wingate) drafted in 5th round

Drew Brees said, "Until the season starts, we're going against our defense every day, and that becomes pretty competitive," Brees said. "So it's fun to see who they bring in, and who are we going to pick on. It's just part of the fun."

March 14, 2006 - Former San Diego Charger Quarterback, Drew Brees, signs six-year deal with the New Orleans Saints. The Miami Dolphins failed to acquire the Pro-Bowl Quarterback, Drew Brees. Now Brees is a Saint!

Drew Brees, the New Orleans Saints' top target in free agency, threw for a career-high 3,576 yards, tossed 24 touchdowns, had over 250 yards passing in six games and threw for two or more TDs in eight games last season for the Chargers. Saints Executive VP/GM Mickey Loomis confirmed the agreement in a short meeting today.
