Bobby's Brawds Parade in Honor of Buddy D.

January 31, 2010 - New Orleans, Louisiana - Thousands of men in dresses, calling themselves "Buddy's Broads", mustered at the Superdome in honor of sportscaster Buddy Diliberto, who vowed after years of frustration to wear a dress if the New Orleans Saints ever made it to the Super Bowl.
Former Saints quarterback Bobby Herbert (pictured above) led the "Buddy's Broads" parade of men in dresses from the Superdome to Bourbon Street in the French Quarter to fulfill Buddy Diliberto's promise.
"Buddy's Broads" parade dresses ran the gamut from tiaras to white shrimp boots.
During the parade, the "Buddy's Broads" men chanted "Bud-dy! Bud-dy!" & "Buddy D! Buddy D!" & "Who dat say day gonna beat dem Saints? Who Dat!"

Two brass bands....Bobby, Garland, Abdul, Buddy D's son Chris, and a host of others...all in dresses marching down Burbon St....it will be ...OUT DA BOX! ESPN is suppose to cover...as well as a host of other stations!" |

"Buddy D's "Superbowl Dress Parade"...This Sunday...12 noon...meeting at Gate A at the Superdome...marching to Oceana Grill in the French Quarter......Bobby Hebert, Abdul, Garland Robinette all in dresses.....gonna be a FREAAKIN BLLLAAAASSST! As far as I know anyone can dress..there will be a VIP section, but anyone can dress and parade. Buddy D "Dress Parade" will go down Poydras to Corondolet...cross Canal, and go down Burbon turn and go to Oceana Grill." |
